Kodi Lee, a singer and musician from Irvine, CA who is blind and has autism, took to the America’s Got Talent stage on Tuesday, 28 May. Initially, the judges didn’t know what to think. But they soon learned that people with Intellectual Disabilities should never be underestimated! Gabrielle Union hit the golden buzzer for the first time this season. It was also her first since joining the cast during the season premiere. Union’s sentiment was felt by all of her co-judges—Howie Mandel, Julianne Hough and Simon Cowell along with host, Terry Crews.
Kodi (22) has been interested in music from a young age and has performed at several Special Olympics Southern California athletes and events.
