Last April, Chile hosted a significant visit by an international delegation, including leaders from Special Olympics International, Special Olympics Latin America, and the Golisano Foundation, focused on reviewing inclusive health projects. Leading experts met to assess the progress of programs for people with intellectual disabilities. The summit was led by Erica Dayton, Executive Director of the Golisano Foundation.

“Chile has been truly inspiring. I have been able to see up close the effort they are putting in, how they are progressing and growing. I have also had the opportunity to meet athletes in their environment, monitoring their health to ensure they are ready to compete and enjoy a full life,” said Erica Dayton, highlighting the inspiring progress and commitment she has seen.

Carolina Picasso, president of Special Olympics Chile, expressed her deep gratitude to the Golisano Foundation for its support and commitment to the health program for people with intellectual disabilities. She highlighted the importance of teamwork and mutual trust in achieving significant results in the inclusion and well-being of this group of people.
