TUNE IN! Special Olympics Florida on HBO’s Real Sports with Bryant Gumble

A segment featuring the Special Olympics Florida triathlon training team will premiere on HBO’s Real Sports with Bryant Gumble—on TUESDAY, JULY 18 (10:00-11:00 p.m. ET/PT). The series debuts on HBO and is available to stream on Max. Mary Corillo, who served as the correspondent on the piece, was moved by and enjoyed her time with the athletes, their families and coaches.

Segment Description: There’s a group of Special Olympics athletes in Florida who are using their triathlon training to change their lives. Led by Special Olympics Ambassador and athlete Chris Nikic, the first person with Down Syndrome to complete an IRONMAN, this group of young adults is breaking down physical barriers and social stigmas to achieve athletic feats many thought impossible.
