Special Olympics Hong Kong

Li has the expertise and quality as a leader at Special Olympics Hong Kong. Having completed both the Special Olympics Athlete Leadership elementary and advanced training, he volunteered to lead and assist in the subsequent Athlete Leadership training sessions. He also served as a master of ceremonies in the Special Olympics Hong Kong events. With natural leadership skills and the experience gained through training, Li is confident to take part in the tasks ahead as a Special Olympics Health Messenger.

Li became a Health Messenger in July 2022. Thereafter, he joined the Inclusive Health Ambassador program where he shared his gained knowledge about the health issues affecting people with intellectual disabilities, and his role as a Health Messenger. The highlight of his Health Messenger training was learning to use a mobile phone to record and edit videos. He started to record himself doing physical exercises at home and shared them with other athletes. He also led fitness workshops with the health ambassadors and encouraged them to share health information and home exercises with persons with intellectual disabilities and their family members.

Li is a student at a special school. He has a keen interest in learning about railways. During his leisure time, he reads books and searches websites about the railway. He also enjoys going out with his friends and family. He lives with his father, mother, and younger sister.
