Salihin is a 24-year-old 4th year student at Institute of Technical Education (ITE ) in Singapore. Salihin has been involved with Special Olympics for 12 years as an athlete leader. Most recently, he served on the Special Olympics Singapore Council between 2018 and 2020. Through his roles within Special Olympics, Salihin has facilitated service events within his school and community.
Salihin is part of Unified generation because he believes that youth with and without disability have the powers innovation and driver to make meaningful impact in the world. He is passionate about educating his peers on the value and importance of inclusion.
Salihin is extremely excited to be on the Global Youth Leadership Council so that he can be learn from other young people around the world, and make change on an international level. Salihin is a leader of the Unified Generation because he believes that differences should celebrated as a uniting force.
