In March 2018, leaders from the International Skating Union (ISU) signed an agreement recognizing Special Olympics continued development of our athletes in skating sports during the ISU World Figure Skating Championships.
Special Olympics supports the work where national skating federations work in conjunction with Special Olympics’ local programs to enhance the development of the sports of Figure Skating and Speed Skating. Special Olympics Figure Skating and Speed Skating competitions are based on ISU rules.
