Georgios is a passionate sports administrator and handball referee carrying over 18 years of global experience in the sports industry. He has led various delegations around the world in his career with Special Olympics Cyprus and Cyprus National Olympic Committee, as well as participated in numerous games and organizing committees as Handball Referee and Technical Delegate. He has been a member and Chairman of the board of directors of Cyprus Handball Referee Association and a Condimental Referee for EHF (European Handball Federation) since 2010.
Georgios has been a head lecturer at Cyprus Handball Referee School, teaching Physical Condition for Handball Referees.
He holds a Bachelor’s and a Master’s in Physical Education from the Hungarian University of Physical Education and Springfield College respectively. Georgios is now pursuing his PhD in Physical Education on full scholarship from the University of Nicosia and is leading the Cyprus National Team on the road to the upcoming Tokyo Olympics.
