Unified Volleyball Spikes

The project Unified Spikes focuses on the development of Unified Volleyball and will provide resources to support the development of the sport in the SOEE region. It will also develop pathways for National Programmes to develop female volleyball teams. This project started on the 1st January 2021 and will finish on 31st December 2023. The partners in this project are SO Europe Eurasia, Special Olympics Austria, Special Olympics Italy, Special Olympics Netherlands, Special Olympics Poland, Special Olympics Slovakia, Special Olympics Serbia and the Slovakian Volleyball Federation.

Project Objectives/Activities

One

Develop a coaching guide that will assist Special Olympics coaches on how to develop a Unified Volleyball team, as well as Unified Volleyball training programme/training sessions.

Two

Develop a mixed gender guide to support the development of mixed division teams in Special Olympics Programmes. Developing mixed teams will be an important first step in the development of all female volleyball teams.
