His Excellency Dr. Ashraf Sobhy is the Egyptian Minister of Youth & Sports since 2018. His previous experience includes working as Assistant to the Minister of Youth & Sports, as Executive Director of the International Cairo Stadium, and as Executive Director of Baniyas Club for football in the UAE 2009 – 2010.
His Excellency holds a Ph.D. in Sports Management – Public Relations & Sports Marketing from Ottawa University, Canada & Helwan University, Cairo, a Master of Public Relations & Administration from Helwan University, and a Bachelor of Physical Education College, Helwan University.
His academic experience includes working as Professor Dr. in Sports Business Administration at Physical Education College, Helwan University, and a Member of the Supreme Council of Universities (Physical Education Committee).
