National Disability Employment Awareness Month

Every year, during the month of October, the U.S. Department of Labor celebrates National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM). Special Olympics not only uplifts and champions athletes on the field of play, but also supports athletes in their professional careers.

This month, during NDEAM, Special Olympics is highlighting four athletes, one each week, who work as the face of the movement as television reporters for and with major organizations such as ESPN, Super Bowl Media Week, World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), and Special Olympics North America.
