Special Olympics Gaston County recently held its 2018 spring games at North Gaston High School on April 20, 2018. A new record high was reached with over 350 athletes participating in track and field events. Athletes also enjoyed Olympic town, and a 50 balloon release was a part of the day's celebrations in honor of the 50th anniversary of Special Olympics.
