Special Olympics Turkmenistan is among the programmes across Europe Eurasia going all out to celebrate 50 years of Special Olympics this summer!
Among the activities of the recent Turkmenistan celebrations, which took place in Ashgabat, were the screening of a new children’s cartoon, a presentation on 50 years of Special Olympics, and a festive meal with seasonal delicacies. Perhaps the most exciting part of the day for young attendees was performances by actors from the A.S. Pushkin Theatre who, dressed as superheroes, led games to music using props like balloons and tunnels.
To conclude the celebrations, the General Director of Special Olympics Turkmenistan, Tofik Iskanderov, made a speech wishing parents and children good health, a happy life, and of course great success in sport!
