SiriusXM Graphic: Tune In: Channel 126, Inside the Issues with Wilmer Leon

Wilmer Leon, host of Inside the Issues on SiriusXM radio’s Urban View – Channel 126 dedicated an entire hour to Special Olympics on Saturday, August 15, 2020.

The first half was a fun and lively conversation exploring the ways in which Special Olympics Unified Champion Schools © (USC) are connecting with underserved students and communities. Youth Ambassador Tajha Ilerant and Director of Urban Development Ray Roberts discussed the importance of the USC program and the successes they’ve worked so hard to achieve.

The second half shared excitement about the Special Olympics World Winter Games Kazan 2022 and delved into the importance of World Games overall. Special Olympics Sports Manager Kester Edwards , Global Ambassador Bob Beamon , Snowboarder Latrice Pringle (Special Olympics South Carolina) and Coach Billy Wilson (Special Olympics South Carolina ) talked about what to expect at the Games in Kazan and gave insights on the training and determination it takes to succeed in sports on an international level.
