The final rosters have been announced for the 2020 NBA Cares Special Olympics Unified Basketball Game. Twelve Special Olympics All-star athletes will be on the same teams as some of the NBA’s finest players, including NBA legends, active and former WNBA players and celebrity figures. All together, the players from Special Olympics come from five countries and will offer a competitive game that will be fun to watch!
The match up will take place on Friday, February 14th, 2020 in Chicago, IL. Teams representing the East and West will play in two 20-minute halves at Winturst Arena. Tune in at 4 pm CST/5 pm EST to catch the action on the NBA’s Facebook page!
Special Olympics is pushing forward as the “Global Inclusion Movement” advocating for greater inclusion in all aspects of life. As one of the premiere events in all of professional sports, the NBA All-Star Weekend is an ideal platform for Special Olympics to demonstrate this movement through the power of sports to unite people everywhere.
