The Chicago Bears hosted 180 Special Olympics athletes from 12 Special Olympics Illinois teams in a flag football tournament held in Halas Hall. The tournament which was sponsored by United Airlines allowed Bears players such as Rookie Running Back David Montgomery a chance to give Special Olympics athletes a chance to fulfill aspirations that they once had as kids.

"I was one of those kids, back in the day that you know looked up to guys that were in the NFL and guys that were in the Bears as well, " Montgomery said. "To be able to have the platform that I have I just am sure to take advantage of it and enjoy every moment of it."
