Peter Mazunda, outgoing chairperson of Special Olympics Malawi and the Special Olympics International Advisory Committee, has been honored with an Award of Service for his many years of contribution to the Special Olympics movement.
Mazunda, a renowned documentary film maker and photographer in Malawi, and as a professional journalist and media company owner, has tirelessly poured out his skills to Special Olympics, documenting thousands of athletes’ achievements on the sports field.
Peter is depicted displaying the Finish Line’s campaign poster starring Clara Phiri, a Special Olympics Malawi athlete crossing the finish line in triumph. Her photograph is currently being displayed in Finish Line campaigns all across the United States, embracing the tag line ‘Spread Unstoppable Joy’.
